Beautiful photos, hosted by Unsplash.

Images load from Unsplash instead of being downloaded to your WordPress server. Native WordPress cropping and some third-party image tools may not support these remote images.

A few things to know.

Is this the same plugin as OpenImage?

Yes. Pretty Photos is the new name of OpenImage, now part of Pretty Plugins. The renamed version preserves existing API settings and remote-media connections.

Do I need an Unsplash account?

Setting up the current release requires an authorized Unsplash application and Access Key. An administrator enters the key once in WordPress. Unsplash’s approval requirements and API limits still apply.

Are the photos stored on my website?

No. Selected photos use Unsplash-hosted image URLs. Media Library entries store the information WordPress needs to display the remote photo.

Does it write perfect alt text automatically?

No. It starts with the description available from Unsplash. That text may be missing or may not suit your context, so review and edit it before publishing.

Where do photographer credits appear?

The editor adds linked photographer and Unsplash credit in the image caption. Supported remote Media Library images also receive credits in core Image, Cover, Media & Text blocks and featured-image output. Themes and custom integrations can affect presentation.
